Angel Gabriel Over Los Angeles
Angel Gabriel Over Los Angeles

Growing up in the Central Valley, our family would take a week to hit one of the beaches in Southern California each summer, and then we would end up at Disneyland (1963-1975). My brothers and I thoroughly explored Disneyland and came to know every nook and cranny.

The area always had a unique feel to it, but I was too young and preoccupied with having fun to be able to objectify it. Life took me away 13 years before I could return, and when I did, I noticed that unique feeling again. But I was yet again preoccupied with work, school, and family, to be able to objectify it.

Life then took me away for a much longer period (33 years), with a few visits along the way with kids and grandkids, and each time I recognized that unique feeling, but did not objectify it.

The opportunity to finally objectify it came when we retired to Los Angeles, and I was not so preoccupied. The first thing I could objectify about this very unique energy was that it was always there, regardless of the weather or time of year, and it was not tied to beaches, Disneyland, or other forms of entertainment.

Having visited numerous other places in my life, each with its own distinct energy and historical footprint, I had things I could compare and contrast it to, including Australia, Canada, England, Fiji, France, Greece, Hawaii, Israel,  Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland, Switzerland, across America twice, and lived in the Bay Area, Colorado, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

Having determined that this unique energy was not a by-product of what people have built or the physical environment —i.e., not ley lines, energy vortices, etc. —I had nowhere else to turn but to God. So this is what I prayed,

What is the source of this very unique and special energy in Los Angeles that everyone seems to be taking for granted?

The answer came the following morning when the Holy Spirit prompted me to go for a drive. I was also instructed not to use the map app, only to follow the promptings. After several miles and many turns, I found myself in front of this building.

Then the Holy Spirit spoke and said,

This building’s namesake is of the angel over the area, and the source of the energy that permeates it.

The name of that building turned out to be Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, and I was given to understand that the angel in the Bible,1 by the same name, was given stewardship over the Los Angeles Basin since its inception. It’s his “pet project” for the End Time, just before Jesus returns.

If you want to know how powerful the angel Gabriel is, just know that his presence saturates the entire area, and it’s not by accident that so many things are named after him, including cemeteries, a City, a Canyon, a Dam, Mountains, a River, a Valley, numerous churches, newspapers, parks, schools, and streets, etc.

You could remove every man-made object in the LA Basin, and the unique energy would remain because it radiates from the angel Gabriel.
